I saw a quote the other day that said something like, the trees are about to show us just how freeing it can be to let go of things. It got me to thinking. With an inbox that gives me a bit of anxiety as I rush to delete emails, see what’s new and sift through what might be important, how is that affecting my ability to receive?

When you have a full email inbox or voicemail, is it possible that you are sending a message to the Universe that you don’t have the capacity or availability to receive because there is already so much on your plate that you have not taken care of?

As the seasons change, it is a great time to reflect on what is important and leave what is not so you are ready to receive when the time comes. There are three areas you can evaluate on a regular basis to determine if there is some cleaning up that needs to happen so you have space for the abundance that you know is yours: environment, relationships and your thoughts.

Every day, when we are surrounded by things we don’t need, don’t like and don’t use anymore, energetically, we block what we do want in our lives. Take a look around your home, your job, your office. Consider your email inbox or your voicemail. What would it feel like to walk into your favorite room and smile because you LOVE the décor? What would it feel like to have a neat, organized office space to build your empire?

This one can be hard, but I want you to be selfish for a minute. Jim Kwik said, “show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future.”   What is the benefit to your “friends” to stay in your current circumstances? Yes, you may have something in common, but what if you chose to step into your greatness and show them what is possible?

What thoughts are holding you back that you need to let go of? We all have something like 60,000 thoughts a day. When you look at your thoughts from the past 7 days, are they mostly positive or negative? If you are drawing a blank, look at how you have been feeling lately. Happy or not-so-much? That will also tell you what your thoughts have been like and whether or not they need to be cleaned up.

As we settle into fall, what are you committed to cleaning up or leaving behind so you are prepared for success?
