Fat is NOT a Feeling

When you say you “feel fat” what are you really feeling?

Is it fear, anxiety, uncertainty?

Many of my clients don’t even know why they feel uncomfortable and uneasy, they just know something’s not right.  Usually it manifests as “feeling fat.”  If you can figure out how you’re feeling, you can figure out why you feel that way.

Sometimes just naming the emotion makes it less of a monster.

Instead of eating to avoid, distract yourself from feeling, or stuff the emotion back down, what do you think would happen if you just sat with that feeling?

Challenge:

The next time the next time you find yourself eating and you know you are not physically hungry, ask yourself why?  What am I feeling right now?
